Good, healthy food is not all that’s needed in 2016. Good exercise will help you stay or become fit as well as meditation, which we highly recommend. At least 5 minutes a day!
Just five minutes of meditation a day can make you more productive, more focused and more relaxed. So … no more excuses!
Start with five minutes a day. Find a quiet place to sit, with no distractions. Make sure you are sitting comfortably - the lotus position is not compulsory. Set the timer for five minutes, inhale and exhale slowly and deeply (for two or three counts). Feel the air as it enters your body. Concentrate on getting this breath as deep as it will go, from your nostrils to your throat and deep down into your lungs and lower stomach. Lots of thoughts might come to the front of your mind. Observe your thoughts, but don’t try to engage them, just concentrate on your breathing.
